Getting my RX-7 soon and putting my baby to sleep

Okay guys, since the 'lude is getting to expensive to
maintain, im gonna put her to sleep in the garage and
pick up a 1993 3rd gen seven. I've always wanted the
seven since the first day I saw it, and looks like
my dream is about to come true. =) The lude is gonna
be put away and driven only when nice out. After all
the mods I put on her, I want to keep her the way she is
for eternity =).

did you already get the Rx-7? I have a friend selling the Peter Farrell modified rx-7 (380hp) and asking 21,000.

21k is out of my budget. I am looking more towards a base with really high mileage and doing my own three rotor upgrade in due time.

Yep, the RX7 will be MUCH cheaper to maintain!!!

Anyway, the 3Gen RX7s are so awesome. A friend of mine owns one. Very, very fast car. Good luck, it takes a lot to maintain one.

THis doesn't make sense to me at all.... you mean RX7 maintenance gonna be cheaper than maintaining a prelude?? and If i am right.. even the gas mileage of RX7 is lower than lude.

With running Kaaz Limited Slip differential tranny fluid at $50 A Quart and running two quarts as well as changing my oil every 2,000 miles (Mobil 1 synth), gas, brake pads, spark plugs, etc... the RX-7 should be definitely cheaper to maintain. Hopefully =)

Boom

RX7's are notorious for blown engines. Good Luck. If I were you and wanted to put the Lude up in the Gargage, I'd get an old small block Chevy car (Camaro, El Camino, etc). Those are cheap as hell to mod and get going real fast if you don't mind dealing with the Mullet stereotype.

My $.02

so you are saying you want to get a used turbo sports car because a honda is more expensive to maintain? it'd make much more sense if it's vice versa.

Well, my car's running a Custom turbo kit, full suspension, and programmable enngine management. Let's just say part's are kinda expensive to replace now.
