To get around the syncro grind....

My car grinds when going into second gear for the first 20 mins of driving, and its driving me nuts (im taking it in to be fixed soon... but i dont know if the warranty will cover it). I know some of you have this problem with fifth gear too, and its most likely the syncro.

I found a way to get around it while driving if its really on your nerves, and so this post is to share it with you and at the same time to get some feedback to see if its OK for the car (i really think its fine though).

Anyway, its pretty simple but tedious at times: put the car in neutral, rev higher than where you should, and then put the stick in gear. Basically double clutch, but rev match in neutral *without your foot on the clutch*. If you do it right it will go in like butter.

Hope this helps some of you out

Yeah, double-clutching definitely helps with the grinding sound, but its not a fix.

I hear ya....anything you can do to eliminate annoying sounds is good.

That kit is the WW RS. Thanks
