funny noise after installing springs

i have a problem and i need to find the answer as soon as possible...i just installed my neuspeed sport springs and after i took it for a test drive there were a clicking kinda sound that kinda sounded like a bolt or nut was loose coming from both rear sides everytime i hit a bump...i had stopped and checked the bolts, on top (connecting the strut to the frame of the car) and they were all good so i drove sum more and the sound was still there..anybody have this problem and/or know how to fix it? i need to to know as soon as possible cuz i gotta drive in my lude everyday...

chattering noise from the rear. go to radio shack and buy some wire wraps (looks like a flat phone cord) and wrap the ever other top few coils.

its not rubbing, the top coils are hitting each other. that's called chattering. very common on progressive rate springs especially on the rears.

yup yup..well not by myself..wit my friendz..first it was wit one of my friends..it took about an 2 hours to do the first front spring (first time changing prelude springs for both of us), then my other friend came over and it took like 45min-1hour to do the other spring, then 3 more of mah friendz came over and it took like at most 1 hour to do the both the rear with 6 heads ...more people its easier

cool, i'm planning to install my springs and shocks too..well not me personally, im gonna bring it to a shop here in jc

i was gonna do that too but i didn't wanna spend money when i didn't have to..plus i like to know how to work with my car jus in case sumthin goes wrong i know how to fix it without spending more money...hey if you can, when you go to put your springs and shocks on can you ask the guy about the sound i have? you are the man if you do me this favor...

REAR SHOCK KNOCK on 5TH GEN

You are getting rear shock knock There was a Service bulletin on this fix where the dealer replaced the rear shock collar in the upper
mounts.

You can try this and you don't have to lift your car at all. You can do this while your car is on the ground. Trust me .. I've done this so many times on many 5th Gens!

- tighten the the damper nut on the top plate ... this will compress the rubber bushings and lessen the amount of travel the collar gets.
