Fuel injector cleaning help.

A buddy of mine just replaced his fuel injectors in his 99 prelude. He gave me the old ones and I want to try to clean them out. I fabled up a universal home made fuel injector cleaning system hooked up to a small air compreser. I will post pics of it up soon. Everything I used to make it can be bought at the local hardware store. I used a 9 volt battery to actuate the injector on a momentary switch, but the problem I'm having is, after a little bit of actuating the injector, it stops working. I'm thinking the 9 volt battery is too much for the injector to handel for too long, and then it starts working again after letting it sit for a while. I've done dome research on the different types of fuel injectors, but it gets pritty confusing! I would really like to not fry these injectors, trying to flush them out because if I get them clean enough, I'll put them in my 5th gen. Any thoughts on this? Is there a lower voltage battery I could use to actuate the injector?

This is just an exspearament. And I'm dead set on doing it myself. So taking them to a shop to have it done is out of the question at the moment. I've already spent money making a cleaning system. I just need to perfect it. This is also something someone on a very tight budget can do at almost no cost at all. And if one has multipal vehicles, it will work with most types on injectors.

My injectors that are currently in my car, squirt like a super soaker water gun. That's why I'm interested in cleaning them out or possibly changing to brand new injectors.

I've heard good things about seafoam, but nothing compares to cleaning the injectors with straight injector cleaner, while they are out of the car which they are out of the car already.
