Front suspension question. Urgent need your help!

I went to firestone to get the alignment, but they couldn't do it because it was damaged so heavily (Although I know they always sound dramatic)
I never visit mechanics, because a lot of them are liars and it's hard to find honest mechanics. (I asked the firestone mechanic how long it takes to straigten the steering pinion by the shaft, and they said it takes 2HOURS! whaahahah so I told him, hey I adjusted it on my integra and it took me 15 minutes. Am I a god? and he remained silent till the moment I left haha)

So I took a look while it was on the lift it seemed like the:

-Lower arm bar bushings were destroyed
-Front right lower arm bar is shifted back (It's touching the back of the front subframe)
-Front left lower arm bar does look like it's in a good position, however my wheel is also left behind.
-Front lower arm bar coming from the front seem to be bent

So my conclusion was one of the previous owners went like 60 mph over a bump and hit the front lower arm bars really hard and it pushed the lower arm bars behind therefore the wheel is left behind.

That mechanic said to fix all these it will cost me at least 5000 bucks so I laughed again.

So my question is, it seems like the shock assembly looks fine, so I just need lower arm bars, rotor mount and some more little things(like sway bar holder)
I figured it is way cheaper and easier to just replace the entire assembly from a clean title prelude.

I see 2 prelude base models in junk yard and they both have blown motor so the front body looks great. However, I do not know if the base model parts will fit into type Sh. I looked on the forum it seems like the shocks and springs are not interchangeable, but I couldn't find any info about lower arm bars and front subframe and stuff. This is my first time owning a prelude so I wouldn't know.

:ARE THE FRONT SUBFRAME, ROTOR PARTS, LOWER ARM BARS, BUSHINGS AND STUFF ALL INTERCHANGEABLE BETWEEN TYPE SH AND BASE MODELS?
Anybody done this before and know what to do?

Any input will be helpful!
Thank you! I feel dangerous driving the car cuz it pulls to left really hard, so I need to get this fixed asap!

I would take it to a second place for further review. Pick whatever place quotes you at the lowest price. It will take longer than 15 minutes to fix, lets be real here.

Alot of the parts will not fit, especially suspension parts.

Cross reference part numbers at

If you go to the Majestic Honda web site you can compare part numbers base to SH and determine for yourself which parts interchange.

Before you start laying out money for parts you need to determine if your sub frame was damaged. put the car up in the air (all 4wheels) and take some measurements with a tape measure. Compare suspension mounting points on the sub frame on the good side to the same points on the bad side. I find going from the left front to the right rear and vicey versey is the best way. As a rule of thumb if the measurements vary more than 1/4" something's bent and you would probably be better off looking for a complete sub frame.

Start checking for people parting out cars. Prelude1897 (Brian) on this forum has more Prelude parts and knowledge than Honda!
