Well, doing strut bars can help with some understeer by tightening the car in the rear vs the front. However, I noticed a reduction on some turns with just the front one on. The front strut bar makes steering more responsive and helps eliminate some flex in the front suspension. If you really want a bar to help with understeer, then you want to reduce the roll of the rear vs the front to make the front grip more. A larger sway bar is the way to go, larger than the front. Also, stiffer springs and shocks in the rear along with lower tire pressures in the rear will all reduce understeer. Be carefull though that you do not go too far and start getting dangerous levels of understeer.
