Front Speakers Replaced (Pics)

Hey just wanted to share some pics of some new front speakers I put in. I know this has been discussed a million times, but you never know what information people might find useful.

I found some great Polk DB650's on craigslist for $50. They are 6.5

To install them, the plastic shroud MUST be cut out. I used some crap saw and hacked away at it. It really isn't that hard. Even though the magnets seem almost exactly the same size as the stock, it is to my understanding that absolutely no aftermarket speaker will fit with the plastic shroud as there is zero % play room. Also it is to my understanding that you do not want to go farther than a top-mount depth of 2". Although you could probably get away with the next one up, you run the risk the hitting the window track.

The speakers sound awesome even with the stock Honda headunit (lol!). The old stockers had almost ZERO % suspension left.

lol @ Kronn, I need to do this to mine right now the covers hold my speaker in :/
My stock one were so bad that the cones were completely gone, though they worked surprisingly okay as long as I wasn't jamming out loud.
