I was just looking at some of the members car and was wondering can someone give me the part number of the front grill shown on this car in the link,It looks like an original part and I cant find it in Ireland!!
you be wrong nordic_lude. lil known fact- in japan all year type S came with the honey comb grille that is factory painted a dark gun metal shade. looks very beautiful. but i'm content with my black plastic color.
in the usa there's no type S so i guess they just decided to give it to us starting 1999 and up. i don't think the SiR even got the honey comb grille. euro ludes didn't get the honey comb either, i think they actually like our Prelude emblem more since they have many 2.2 VTi ludes.
i actually bought one of those ebay grills. i wasn't that impressed with it so i sold it. the ebay grill is fiberglass. it is true they did have a type-s gunmetal color grill in japan.

Even the early Type S cars didn't get the honeycombe grille, but I belive that many later JDM models had them, as did certain later EUDM and AUDM models.
I don't know about other countries, but here in Japan the honeycomb grill is an option item which is available for ANY 5th generation Prelude. They also gave the buyer the choice of a gold or silver 'PRELUDE' emblems.
These are some pics of an SiR that I found last week....with the honeycomb grill (painted)....
