Fpr's can't sense how much fuel your car needs. Its only function is to allow you to raise or lower the fuel pressure.

The fpr may be helpful if your in lack of fuel while using the nitrous. But the stock fuel system is capable of handling the needed fuel of the zex kit, so it is not necessary to get one.

hey, thanks for the response, but i know it regulates fuel pressure, what i want to knwo is if it will be helpful w/zex or do i even need it? i'm skeptical bout pros & cons because some people have complained about thier car running to rich or horrible gas mileage after installing a FPR. anyone care to enlighten me..

People are running rich/horrible because they are running too high of a fuel pressure.

The fpr may be helpful if you can determine if while your on the bottle, your in lack of fuel or in excess of fuel. The fpr will allow you to rise/lower the pressure a little to tune the sytem. I recommend getting on a dyno with a wideband to mess with this though. You do not want to run lean while using nitrous.
