Foglights on without headlights.

Well the situation is that my prelude came with the OEM fogs installed as an accesory, which only come on with the headlights, even though they have their own buttom to turn them on and off. i then swapped my oem fogs for some jdm fogs. now i want to have my jdm fogs on with my city lights, like most have. ive search plenty and reffered to this post...step 14 Toronto Prelude Club - HondaPrelude.TO articles - installation information - jdm foglights
but that is with the jdm wiring. when i look at my fuse area i only have one plug for the fogs in slot #5, unlike jdm wiring which alot gives u an extra plug for slot 1 or 2. can anyone that has done this explain how i can accomplish this. thanks

Search the answer on Honda-Tech. There's a full writeup on it.

There's a fuse somewhere in-line on the interior harness that controls this funtion. Hell if I know where it is, but some guy on PreludePower did this. A search there will be plentiful.

I bought genuine JDM fogs which came with no harness so I had to make the wiring myself.

OP - The reason why your fogs only come on when the headlights are on is that the relay that supplies power to the fogs is triggered by the the headlights recieving power. To get the fogs to come on independently you need to find any power source that only comes on with the ignition, that way you wont leave your fogs on when you switch the car off. Since the power needed to activate the realy is very small, you can use anything that only comes on with the ignition.
