Ok, my project is done. For all that questioned it well **** you . They look incredible and I am happy to say im the first 5th Generation lude with E-codes. .. Although, AndoOKC was the first ever with projectors. Ok, since webshots is weird, ill just give you a link to my albums. But hope everyone likes.. im going to align them and take night shots now, so later tonight ill have night shots too. But here it is:

This will be my next project some day...... I have a couple questions for you man-

1. Is the light pattern a lot different with euro-code projectors? Do you think it's worthwhile to try and get those before U.S. style headlamps?

2. do you think you'll pass inspection with them? Are your high beams still hooked up or does the new harness (like AndoOKC used) interfere with them?

3. I would like to see some close ups of the newly installed projectors in the prelude housing from the back. To me, this is the most intimidating part of the project. I would like to see how the projector is screwed into the hole you cut and sealed. I'm so worried about f'ing up my stock housings.... and then you have to worry about condensation.

Thanks dude!

Awesome job by the way, I can't see spending the money on a regular K2 or Philips kit when these blow them away!

1) E-codes are much sharper than DOT, and brighter. It's your call, but i thought paying $450 for e-codes wasnt too bad.

2)With the harness i used, i still have highbeams, although, why would you ever need them?

3) Gosh, i didnt take any pics of the back. I should have. But ill try some tomorrow. I can say this for you, the project done by Ando (he did mine for me) looks exceptional. The hole in the back is a circle that is very smooth. He did an excellent job. For condensation, i still need to seal it. He told me to use electrical tape, and it would be ok.

hehe, i say: $1000 well spent. I'm an original

did you buy new prelude headlights to send out to AndoOKC or did you use the ones on your car?

I would hate to be without my car for more than a couple days...

thanx

well, i sent him the ones from my car. i couldnt find a cheap replacement pair. as for inspection.... well, the beam pattern is better than any other car on the road. So if they just look for the DOT symbol.. then no, but if they actually test it, then yes w/ flying colors .. literally

Soccer3303,

Just sent my headlights & TT projectors to AndoOKC today, he should receive them Friday. So I guess I'll be the 3rd 5th gen to have HID projectors.

As for sealing the headlights, I think radiator hose repair tape might be better than electrical tape since it should be both heat resistant and water proof.
