Well I would strongly recommend keeping them in place because they really help keep the engine bay clean (especially in the winter months when driving on saltyroads).
why do people remove the gaurds? is it because of rust forming between the plastic and fender lip? if so maybe we should put rubber washers between the plastic and fender on every plastic tab/fastener
During the late 1970es it was not unusual to go to a junk yard and find plenty of old Hondas with great running engines. You see the body would rust , the shock towers would collapse, and these cars would end up in the junk yard. In 1981 was the first year on the Accord, and I guess the other Honda's,got those plastic fender liners installed. It made a big difference in reducing body rust .Just look around you will see that their are not many pre 1981 Hondas around anymore.
Are there any splash guard fenders that are not made for the prelude but might fit? A new one shipped to Canada is 200 bucks, that's just for the Left wheel fender. I'm looking for a cheaper way!
^^^ive got a used set for sale if your interested. ill pm you.
