Hey Ludes what place is this? Is it around us? That price is pretty good if it's around us. I paid $200 just for the spring and shock install. Alignment will run another $70 or so.
Payyourtoll, what area of NJ are you from? I am assuming you are not North. Prices up here suck.

its ECP where you went they told me 180 for springs and shocks and another 20 for sway bar if the install was straight forward... which it is... so $200 total no alignment... when i get the suspension conponents i will go to ecp and try to haggle for a better price...
kaztech wanted $250
rally motorsports $400
no alignment included on these

Believe me I've looked. You just can't find a good performance shop and still make out on the pricing. You either have to get a good job done and pay out your ass, pay less and take your chances on the install, or go far away.
Springs and shocks should be simple though and you might want to look at some Joe Schmoe place for pricing. I wouldn't though hehe. But that's just me.

no joe schmoe for me neither... my friend took his jetta to have gauges installed at regualr garage and they fried his ecu somehow the worst part is it wasnt the stock ecu it was an aftermarket ecu that was $500...
ill pay the 200 at least i know they've install these springs shocks and sway before...

Doh! That sucks. And that is exactly the reason I wouldn't take my car to any Joe Schmoe shop. Only proven performance shops for me. Even if I have to complain about the pricing afterwards lol.
Sounds like a good quote. Thats what I was quoted back in my earlier days, but now that I have done springs myself a few times, I would do it yourself as it is really not that bad at all...

I agree as long as you have the right tools. (biggest thing compressor and impact wrench).
If you live in Jersey, DO NOT NOT NOT go to Auto Image & Security. They suck so bad.
The one dude, who has a 5th Gen Prelude f'ed up my halogen bulb installation. It was the 2nd day I had it and didn't want to fork anything up. I did it myself the next day and found out that while I waited for an hour for my car in the store, the dude in the garage used plyers to bend and twist my bulb harness. That fat bastard.
Also, all of these pimp your car places suck. They don't know their heads from there arses. Do it yourself if you can, at least you know it's done right.
I'm dropping my car in March and I'm looking for a place to go to. Do you know how much Paramus Honda or Honda Autosport in Bridgewater would do it for?

haha, did you say Paramus Honda!
i bet you anything theyll charge like $100 an hour, the install will take 2 hours and 1 minute, and the total will be $300.
they round to the higher #
Is doing it yourself not an option at all?
It's really not hard. The sway bar is so easy it's a joke, the springs and shocks are a little more involved but seriously NOTHING to be worried about.
yeah, but it's done rightway right? I'd rather a "certified Honda technician" take care of it than some 17 year old punk ass who prays to JaRule.
Does a Honda Dealership actually warantee or gaurantee their work? How about the alignement? I just do NOT trust these jerkoffs playing fast n furious at the local shops.
What do you guys think?
Am I paranoid? Or is the extra 100 worth it for the piece of mind?

no, not really an option for me... i dont have the jack stands, tools, and I am not that mechanically inclined... i think i could probably install the rear sway but for $20 my time is worth more to me... someone should open a shop and advertise it on all these honda/import boards offering to beat any competitors install prices... that shop would make a killing...
