Happy to report that 5th gen leather is available from 3 companies that I know of. Since I have them from E&G Classic I will strongly recommend you look at their really high quality product. Why-simply that they really do know how to make them the old fashioned way and use quality materials. Remember that only the part your body touches while driving will be real leather-the rest is vinyl. That warning applies to all 3 companies goods. Who are the other 2.
Classic Soft Trim seems to do business with all of the car companies and is the one who provides leather to a number of Honda dealers at the time the car is sold. So far as I know (from experience) they really do not like to deal direct-but can. Next vendor is Katzkin-they advertize in Velocity and other magazines. The product they sent my trim shop was good-but not as good or as ordered as that from E&G for the same money I'll add.
Finally: E&G Classic is a firm from Baltimore that specializes in custom cars. They have really done their homework on the covers for 5th gen Preludes. Check out my setup page or e-mail for pictures. They are the only one of the 3 that were real close in appearance to the stock covers. All 3 firms will do most anything you want as to color and stitching. If you need perforated or embossed that can also be done.
How much: There are all sorts of prices out there. I've seen things on E-bay, but I use a professional trim/upholstery shop for my cars. Can you do it yourself-I won't but the kits are not that hard if all you are doing is changing the covers themselves. Bottom line here is that it costs over $1000, labor and material, to have it done by any of the shops that these manufacturers use.
Happy Luding
