Factory Lip Kit Questions - Honda Prelude Forum

I am in the process of restoring an 01 base lude. The paint code on the car door insinuates that the vehicle was originally black, however someone before had it painted the Honda electric blue. I am in the process of getting it painted professional the beautiful and sporty "s2000 yelllow."

There is a small factory factory lip kit on the front and side skirts that are still the original black, and the front lips are missing. My questions are.

Can you paint these previously existing lips?

Will it then set off the car to look better like different sh preludes I see online.

Where can I buy just the front lip that will go with the original honda lip kit.

What is the different between the lip kit i have on mine and others that I see that look a little better.

I am open to suggestions.

your wording here is very confusing as you contradict yourself in saying that it does and doesn't have a front lip

what i think you are referring to is the difference between factory sideskirts and rear lip and the OEM optional kit. SHs and bases are aesthetically identical aside from the fact that the factory sideskirts and rear lip come painted on the SH. On the base they are just black and unpainted. The OEM optional lip kit was optional and didn't come stock, which is probably the one you're seeing that looks a little better. sorry for the confusion.

this is my prelude, the top picture. there are black side skirts and a back lip but no front lip. They are smaller than the ones I have seen which are in the other pictures.
