"too bad 20s won't fit on the lude". = you thinking of putting 20's on a prelude
i don't want to argue on someone else's thread, but that's not what i meant by that. what i meant was i would love to put these rims on the lude BUT because they're 20's that's out of the question. i don't like people that make up words that aren't on the screen. no where did i say i wanted to put 20s on the lude.

have a nice day.
bro that story was sooooo cool can you tell it again?
I really don't see the appeal of "upgrading" to different OEM wheels. They are usually overpriced and heavy, and most don't look any better than the original wheels. RSX and AP1 wheels are the only non-original OEM wheels that I think look good on a prelude.

this is mostly true if you buy them from the stealership. i've seen really nice oem wheels on craigslist for cheap. the only common problems i've encountered were either that the tires on them were ran to **** or the wheels are all curbed up to be damned. lol. who curbs all four rims?!
most people, i've been guilty of this too, just want to get rid of their oems when they get aftermarket rims.
Used aftermarket wheels can be found cheap on craigslist too. The only problem there is that the majority of the used wheels are not going to be the right lug pattern because 4 lug is more common. Good deals are out there, but it takes patience to find a wheel that will fit.
Used or new, the cost for aftermarket vs. OEM is going to be similar. I just really don't see why you'd opt for the plain looking heavy OEM wheels unless you can get them cheap. If you want boring looking heavy wheels, just keep the stockers and save yourself a grand or so.
Interesting....I was debating that look as well. Post pics once you get them in and mounted.

Just a heads up on those tires; they suck in the rain.

I currently have a 205/40/17 set for the camber ware performance of the tires and dread driving in rain. I have slid numerious times taking corner quickly while its raining. I had better grip in some Falkens even though they were a bit noisy. However in my SVX the General Altimax 245/45/17 I have on it are fantastic wet or dry but then again its heavier and AWD. Those General tires are also noisy.

I guess I'll stick with the Cooper Zeons then...I've been using them and have had no problems with them..great rain & dry traction...and they weren't even that bad in the snow.

So I finally had time to make it over to my local shop I like to go to and get everything put on. I think it turned out pretty well, install went smooth. I need to raise the car up at least .75" all around, as it sits now. I believe we ended up lowering it close to 2". It rubs once in awhile and I really am not looking for that to happen at all. I'll prob have the fenders rolled as well this saturday.
Here are some pic's
