A/F signal wire on 02 sensor question...

Can anyone tell me which is the A/F signal wire on the precat o2 sensor wiring harness??

Is there where else I can tap into this wire (like inside the car) or does it have to be under the car. Thanks.

never splice into an 02 sensor. they dont work like normal electrical wires. they are backwards. they are a 5volt system. think of it like a relay. dont tap into it. trust me. find another source.

you can tap into the ecu...i've seen and heard more difficulty and trouble in tieing into the ecu...but it's the same directions as autometer and they back it up alot of people i know do it the same way, no problems what so ever. i've had it like that for a year and a half. no problems.

I read somewhere where you can tap into D7 on the ECU but DO NOT QUOTE me on that...

that was why I asked if there was any where else that I could tap into to get A/F readings...

Anyone else got any ideas?

So assuming I was to try it this way... is there only 1 wire going into the precat 02 sensor... I assumed there were more than 1 and that was why I was asking which wire i needed to splice into.

I was told that I needed to splice into the 1v signal on that harness to read AF for my Emanage...

you got me on the emange but there are 3 or 4 wires on the o2 before the cat, splice into the white one. the white one is the signal wire aka reader. tap into that one and turn the car on and wait a few. then it will start oscillating at idle and pushing the gas. but make sure you tap into the white wire after the plug just use the diagram and you'll be good. if i could be there to help i would.

Do NOT tap the O2 sensors wire directly. Get your signal off the ECU. It's much easier, and running the wire won't be an issue. Primary O2 sensor signal is D7, look at this image to find the harness and pin.

do you have a system? run it with the amp wire. if not, go to passenger side engine bay and un-bolt the main fuse box, there is a bundle of wires that go through the fire wall poke a hole in the rubber and feed it through. i ran mine through the driver side fender but i also did it when i replaced my fenders. i hope it helped. what are you confused about? location? where to run the wire?
