extra brackets on shocks? - Honda Prelude Forum

i got my kyb agx shocks today and installed them. it took four hours!! anyway i noticed that on the front shocks there were welded brackets on the side of the tube. what the hell are those for? i know i got the right shocks because the numbers were correct. does anyone else have brackets on their agx's? and what are they supposed to attach to?

those are for brake lines. my bro's CL's stock shocks look just like that and that's where the brake line is bolted to. i have that fork part right up to that on mine.

They are for the 4th gens. we use the same strut, slightly different. I believe that yes, they are for the brake line.
