I recently ordered a DC Sports header for my 5th gen lude and am wanting to get a full exhaust. So, question, what exhaust system is the best for under $600? I do not want the "ricer" fart can sound. I want a deep tone that sounds good. Any suggestions?
Thermal R&D, hands down. Stockish look and nice deep sound. No rice.

Have you installed that piece of **** DC header yet? If not, return for full refund. It's worthless.

3" exhaust is useless unless you are running turbo.

Hytech replica and a 2.5" custom exhaust seems like the best way to go.

Thanks guys. I will check those out and see if I can find some videos on them to hear them to get an idea. I thought about straight piping it. Is that a bad idea?
You should 100% return your DC Sports header. I can't believe they still sell those fancy paper weights. Actually I can believe it, I was at a gas station yesterday talking to an older man who was admiring my lude...he told me how I just "HAVE to buy the electric supercharger that will yield me 50 horsepower".
My advice to you sir, if you'd like to keep your little exhaust project under $1,000, is to buy a hytech replica header (send a private message is Kronn), and to purchase the biggest piping cat-back exhaust you can find. People have had success with purchasing the Megan N/A cat-back and chopping off it's muffler for a less "fart-can" appearing one.
I did return the dc sports header and am getting one from Kronn. And the exhaust I'm still debating on. I was only told straight piping it would make it rumble more but I don't want it super loud and obnoxious either lol.

Just take the header to an exhaust shop and talk to them about the piping. Show them kteller and see if they think it would be easiest for them to work with. Hunt youtube for muffler clips and decide on one. Also install a vibrant or magnaflow resonator to keep the drone down.
I'm running a 2.5" exhaust with a vibrant street power and vibrant ultra sound resonator. It is still loud for my tastes at interstate speeds. My next step is sound deadening to lower the resonance.

Selling a BB6 Mugen spoiler with LED? PM ME
Rather have power gains and loudness. That video link you posted JDMpreludeking is sweet! Is that your exhaust and if so do you know where I can get all that for that setup? I love it.
