Engine Smell after driving & low pitch sound from engine

hello,

just got myself a 1997 prelude..it is salvage title but was hit from the back..the condition is really nice..has a nice body kit..greddy exhaust and aem intake..few here and there things need to fix up..

the main issue is that after driving around a little bit i could smell some sort of burning..i checked the oil was fine..the oil change was done about 3 weeks ago from the previous owner..also when the car is idling there is a low pitch noise from the engine..wondering if that is normal..as soon as the rpm goes up it stops that noise..the noise is not too loud nor noticeable unless the hood is opened..

another thing i might add is that speedometer..gas guage and hot/cold guage is working fine..but the rpm guage is not working properly

any help is really appreciation..

thanks
