Well this my second time posting about my engine heat problem. The first time I got made fun of, but I think its a serious problem its been about 3 hours since I have shut off my engine and the block is still considerably hot! Idk but to me that seems like a serious problem even though my temp gauge is at about the middle when Im driving and my radiator has the proper amount of coolant. I know heat wears down engines so Im worried... So if you guys have any ideas just throw them out there anything is better than my guess. Please dont even think about posting about how im such a noob and dont know anything about my lude if you think im an idiot then just dont comment.
Get a laser thermometer and measure the block temp yourself. That will tell you if it's out of operating range. If it's greater than say 250ºF, then I'd be worried. If it's not, you're just paranoid, and the thread can die.

It's not about being an idiot, it's about not coming in with enough information or quantative data.
I would do what Kronn suggested and see what that yields.
It's like going to the doctor and stating you have a fever. The doctor asks what was your temperature. You say you don't know, how the heck can you assess you have a fever?

how hot? can you keep your hand on it or is it too hot?
where exactly are you touching on the block?
does the car seem to run perfectly normal for the duration of your drive or does it start acting funny once the temp goes up?
when i read your comment i realized my car has been sitting for 3 and a half hours since i last drove it so i went outside to feel mine. i touched the valve cover and its still warm. i touched the exhaust manifold cover and its still warm. i touched the bottom of the oil pan and its still warm. i touched the radiator cap and its still warm.
maybe your just being a little paranoid expecting the car to be at 'room temperature' after 3 hours. they take a while to cool down. my car engine is still pretty warm after 3 and a half hours but not so hot that i cant touch it.
Well the car drives fine the only thing is that a lot of heat comes in through the vents and i dont even have the heater on. It gets as hot as if the heater was on so i have to lower my windows so that really sucks. I can go for a short drive and drive it normally and when i come back i open the hood and its as hot as if i was driving the hell out of it. I touch the valve cover and all around the engine bay.. whats disturbing is that its really hot on the outside edges like by the radiator and where the fuse box is. Im not sure if im expalining it right im sure im not but the outside perimeter of the engine bay. When i put it in the garage and close it i feel the heat near the car. What im thinking is the thermostat, water pump, or the radiator... My band squeals sometimes when i turn it on and they told me its the water pump and sometimes it does leak some radiator fluid by the water pump so maybe thats it. I probably am i bit paranoid but when i see my friend drive the **** out of his integra and when he turns it off and its not as hot as mine that just makes me feel my engine is garbage and cant take crap.. he has a jdm b16 by the way.
For the temp in the cabin, take it off vent and put it on recycle. Duh.
For the temp under the hood, do what was already suggested or shut up about it.

+1 , heres another tip for you and honestly intended to help you out.
If you cant get a laser thermometer then go to your local fire house(fire dept) and just ask them to shoot your car with thiers. All fire houses have them and they 99% of the time are good people, so just swing by one and tell em that you just need them to give ya a hand real fast. A weird request to your fire house I know, but hell most guys would be willing to help because its an oddball request.

i still think you may just be overreacting.
1...heat will still come through the vents if you have the climate control slider in the 'red'. it just wont be blowing out like it will with the fan on. no worries there
2...when you go for your short drive, it only takes a few minutes of driving until your car gets up to full temperature so when you get back home and shut your car off it will be as hot as it would if you drove for 5 hours straight. i still see no worries.
if your temperature gauge goes up to normal and stays there then it seems like its probably functioning properly. id only be worried if the needle seemed to be moving in a wierd way thats not normal. just make sure your coolant level is good and your radiator fan is working good. as long as all thats good then i see no problems. youve been driving the car this long and if youve been driving it 'hot' youd surely see some kinda symptom of a major problem like a blown head gasket or something.
is your heat shield removed? I have aftermarket an header installed, and that thing emits heat like there is no tomorrow. If the weather outside is just right, cold rain turns to steam at stop lights right at the front of my hood (not as bad as it sounds, just enough to notice). So id stop worrying.
i think my head gasket is blown and my valve cover gasket as well and i only haver 2 months with my car... i didnt blow the head gasket lol it came lik that it also has a bad ticking sound :/ and i kno i kno im an idiot but i really wanted a prelude and didnt have much money so yea.. i settled.
you'd know if your head gasket was blown. You'd have oil in the coolant, and coolant in the oil. And there'd be white smoke coming out. It would also run really funny. Check your oil, if it looks like a milkshake and not regular oil, then its your headgasket. If your oil looks normal on your dipstick, you're fine. If your coolant looks green, you're fine.
Do what was suggested, go to the firehouse and ask for their laser thermometer. They ARE nice enough people who wouldnt mind getting off their asses to see something else other than the TV between fires. Honestly again you're likely over reacting, if your temp gague is working fine and its staying below normal, you're fine.
The ticking sound you probably need a valve adjustment, take it to a mechanic to see about that. He might also tell you to stop worrying about the heat
