Yeah I know our ones come with a heatshield but people with an aftermarket header. Will they be experiencing the same problem he had with his del sol? I have been for the last week wanting to get a 3inch smsp header. It's selling here and this guy wants to do me a deal $1200 with a custom 3inch exhaust I hope it's not too loud but I heard a 3 inch header will lower the dB a tad and with a good muffler I will be sweet.

So will:

A aftermarket header on a bb6 prelude crack the radiator over time? What would be a better radiator to get since you have a aftermarket header? Aluminium or OEM?

I've never heard of it cracking a radiator. I had a Greddy SS header for 3+ years and never had issues with my OEM radiator from 1994.

You should be fine without one.

Sell the Prelude and get a Civic. The H22 is designed to see 7k. It's not your basic grocery-getter.

So it sounds like you don't even have a basic understanding of how a car works and each of it's components. I would probably do more research before asking questions.

Btw of course it's hot...it's like you asking why the camp fire is so hot when you get near it.
man im sorry that i dont know **** about my ****en car. I thought this was the point of these damn websites but i guess you have to already be an expert to be taken seriously.

^no the point of these websites is to educate.

Have you read through any of the threads from the past TEN YEARS?

Probably not, I bet you just posted up without even looking to the past. You have to know where you came from before you can more forward.

Also, like I said, it really does seem you don't have a basic understanding of how a car works. Don't know what to tell you other than that.

We have all been given **** buddy. Don't take it personally I was a noob and I learnt a whole lot of **** about the preludes just because I searched up old threads. That's why people get very very pissed off when you don't search around because the information you need is already there and repeating information does get very annoying oh and by the way the people that are helping you out are serious pros.

Yeah don't take it personally. Probably everyone ever on a forum has asked a question w/o searching. It's just who eventually learns to lay their own footwork

But searching about something helps a ton. How can you ask something if you don't even know what it is your talking about. Learn as much as you can. Just a basic understanding should be enough to atleast grasp the concept of how a car works and what problems arise and how to solve them. I mean hell i have never done timing on a car in my life. In about a wk or so i need to change out the waterpump on my eg and may need to adjust the timing. But i have a good understanding of what components are involved and how it essentially works. I've never once used a manual in my life. I think the best way to do things is take that bish apart and learn on the fly
