When you rev your engine, you'll see that it rocks side to side. So oif you get motor mounts it will stiffen that up and the motor won't rock as much (if any)

it will also help w/ wheel hop.

and the car will even feel more solid.

But the price you pay for this is that the interior will shake a little at idle. it's not such a bad vibration, but definitely bugs if you want a quiet calm interior.

hey.. if i cracked my front engine mount.. do you think getting insert will be o.k.

i have a 01' lude with the mounts and i really don't enjoy the vibration at idle..

my 92 has a torn front mount and instead of forking over $80 for a new front mount.. i was just goign to put the front insert in but keep the rear motor mount stock

anybody feel the icky idle with just one mount?

i don't know what's up with you guys and not being able to stand the vibration at idle. i have both the mounts in and the car feels fine. none of my passengers say anything. the only time it gets annoying is when you have the ac on and the glove box starts rattling

that's the point.. you start hearing thing you never heard before.. some of the noises go away and then you hear new ones... not saying that they aren't great.. i mean.. they do what i need them to do and that was to get rid of my sick wheel hop at the track... only wish i had the time to take them in and out all the time
