Energy Suspension Master Bushing Set

Does anyone here have them? If so, notice a difference?

I already have the ES motor mount inserts and I plan on changing my front swaybar (stock) bushing to a polyurethane one.

I'm wondering if it's worth it to install everything (or portions) from the kit as it's quite labour intensive.

Thanks.

Search for posts by 71dsp on the topic. I wouldn't recommend them, and the control arm bushings are a %$#! pain to install. They definitely aren't worth it.

I can tell you from experience that you won't notice if you install the sway bar bushings alone.

Hmm... okie. I'm not going to bother then. I'm only installing the sway bar bushing because my mechanic has an extra set that he's going to toss anyway.

Thanks.

I think the sway bar bushings are easy & cheap enough to fall in the "why not" category . . . . and if there's some performance improvement, gravy.

As for the rest, if you've got a press handy & plenty of time to fudge around with it, it might be worthwhile. Guess it depends on how much wear & tear is on all the stock bushings. Mine's getting up there in mileage and roads are pretty rough around here, so I'm toying with the idea of putting in new stock bushings this summer - maybe ES ones for some of it. But it'd be a big pain in the ass with a chance of it being very little improvement, so I may not bother.

FYI, one area where people are strongly recommending NOT upgrading to polyurethane bushings are on the rear trailing arms - I guess the stock rubber ones are designed to allow movement along more than one axis, and "upgrading" them to something stiffer tends to bind the suspension back there.
