From what I recall, the car felt much tighter to me. And at the time, most of the rubber bushings I replaced were still good. Others have said the ES bushings will loosen up over time, but I never noticed it. I liked how she handled after and would recomend doing it if you like a stiffer ride.
Ill be getting my lude back soon and will use it as my daily. Ill be sure to check for play in the lower control arms.
Keep in mind, once you switch over to ES bushings, you don't need a press to replace them, you can just lube them up and press them in with your palm. So I figured if they did go bad, it would be easy to replace with new ES bushings. Its just a PITA removing the honda ones the first time.
They only thing that made it real crappy for me was at the time, ES did not list the bushing kit as "SH only". After my ****ty two weeks of dealing with them they changed it. The SH has different front bushings then the Base. Thank god the Base used the same as the 4th gen, or I would have been forced to replace them with new Honda ones. I had already removed the OG bushings when I found the ones in my "kit" didn't fit
