EGR Removal & TB Coolant Bypass

Wasup luders? I was reading in the NA forum and found some old threads I was wondering what the point is of doing these both, I didnt really understand just looking for someone to help explain and clear these up for me thanks

both of those mods are to keep the intake mani cool, not hot coolant or exhaust circulating through the intake system.....i really dont see the point as gains are minimal but hey its something to do i guess.

If it is a street car you want to retain the EGR. The coolant bypass is fine on a street vehicle it would only negatively affect you if it were extremely cold outside. The TB will want to idle higher when the coolant is very cold, blocking and rerouting removes this function, but also keeps warm coolant from the TB.

okay i get it now, my lude is a year round DD, i was thinkin about doing this for some gains but the way you guys explained it made me realize its a little wiser not to do this (living in the northwest, nice and rainy and cold mostly during the year) thanks a lot

Yeah, these are free/cheap mods, but the net gain is relative to that cost.
