Ecu Reprogram

I herd a rumor wether it's true or not is a whole other story. Here's the deal, my buddy at work who knows his hondas well told me he found something out about my car. He told me that the h22 series motors for the preludes need the ECU reprogramed everytime you do any modifications to your engine/transmission.

Could someone help me out with this. Has anyone had any problems with fuel economy after doing mods. I have a performance clutch with lightweight flywheel, cold air intake, headers and exhaust.

Thanks for the time.

your mods are fine. in fact they should increase mpg. if you want, you can get a vafc to get the most out of your modifications.

you have headers?
thats wierd. i only have a header. the rare v6 prelude rumor must be true

They knew that. They were just pointing out that a straight [n] engine only has one header.

So to be clear you have a H22A4 with an aftermarket header.
