. i have a 1999 prelude and i need a stock manuel ecu for local sale here in kissimmee fl asap. i would also like to know if idle and shuting down problems can be caused by a bad ecu.

a stock manual ecu wont do you any good cause of the immobilizer unless you go to the honda dealer and have them reprogram it for your car and you would most likely have to walk them through the procedure and your looking at 150 just for the reprograming. your better off getting a chipped obd1 ecu and conversion harness. as far as idle problems have you checked your iacv to see if its cloged or not working properly? just a shot in the dark :/

it could be the ecu, but replacing it is the last thing you wanna do. it's the most expensive, and the least likely to be the culprit.
