although that's a matte finish, I doubt it's dry carbon fiber. It might just be a matte clearcoat sprayed onto an Seibon or Invidia Invader-style carbon fiber hood?

You'd be paying at least $2-3k for a real dry CF hood for a Lude, maybe more.

Unless that has some kind of coating on it - looks like it's an invader hood wrapped in cf vinyl.

For an actual cf hood of that style - you can get them at andysautosport / ebay / VIS / seibon

as pIERCE stated, for a true dry carbon hood, expect to pay WELL over $1k

what Ive heard/read seibon makes better cf stuff than vis and chinese cf is much cheaper but then it doesnt fit that well

and I havent seen ANY dry carbon products for prelude, so most likely its just mat coating

I would think that a matte clear coat would have a bit more of a shine than that - even if it were to be buffed and wet sanded after a few layers of clear.
I'd say give it a shot. If you like the hood - a matte clear could get it close but not exact to that. So it'd be unique either way! Post pics when finished!

Only reason I considered the vinyl wrap is because i've done a few, looks close but who knows from that picture lol.

Do you know who's car that is? Or where you got the picture from and maybe we can find the owner and ask?
