Door locker thingy?

My driver's side door doesn't unlock all the way. sometimes it does it like it's supposed to and sometimes it does it maybe 1/2 way. What should I check?

Check and lubricate the mechanism in the end of door where it latches. WD 40 or similar should make it move more freely.

It's not my choice either, but works for the quick fix. A light lithium grease sticks better once it's loosened up.

i sprayed some in there - the door opens with less handle effort....i may take the door lining (inside pretty piece) off tomorrow after work and see what exactly I need to do.

I'm pretty sure the 4th gens are built better than the 5th gens....
