Dome light help

Well i have a 2001 base.
I can get dome light on manually but when I open the door nothing(yes i checked i had switch in right place)
I have viper keyless/afterarket stereo, could this be the issue like is the older civics?

Maybe I answered my own question but I hope it just needs to be replaced?

Edit: gonan try door jam switch and wiggle it and see if that deos trick. Any ideas if this isn't it? Blown fuse?

If the light works I wouldn't think that'd be the issue. It'd be the door sensor or something along those lines. Something is not getting triggered to turn that light on for you, so...

Check for some frayed wiring and what not in the door jam switch mount area, like you said you'd be checking, and go from there.

nah, it wouldn't be the fuse because your light still turns on. It might very well be the door switch, they rarerly go bad, but it's definitely worth checking out.

I have the same problem, but I think my door switches on both doors still work because the beeper works when I leave the door open with key still inserted? Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks
