I've had my Prelude since August and every so often I've noticed that it just "doesn't feel right". Has anyone else noticed this? I mean most days it runs really strong but other days it seems.....ambivalent. Is this all just in my head?

i've always pondered this as well. It always feel like something isn't quite right. Makes me worry a lot, and am afraid to take the car long ways from home in fear of a break down.
I dunno what it is. Maybe i'm just paranoid, or something. Cuz when i really think something is wrong, i have a friend drive it, then they laugh, and say it is nothing, then i'm fine.. for a few hours..

yeah same here like sometimes i get a little jerk when comiing to a stop at about 30 ... scares me like crazy ....
yeah, just like when I wash it, it runs better! Way smoother throttle response, and way better hook-up...especially when I armour all the tires so the car looks like it just came off jerry's used car lot...
Yeah, I think once in awhile the guys at the gas station jerk off in the big gas reservoir, and then I come along, and pump dirty jizz gas in my car. When this happens, my car pouts and mopes for a week, and just wants to be held...
Sometimes the clutch/tranny doesn't feel right too. It acts like a rubber band. I shift gears and the damn car bounces. I know it's not my shifting because I'm God.
lol, if some guy is getting paid to jerk off i want a job there!!
but seriously i know what you guys mean, it's almost twice a month, almost like the car is on a period or something. Just performs like ****. but i think i catch some bad gas or something.
Lucy was having kind of a bad handling day today, does that count?!? LOL Actually, I think I need to attribute that to some low grip surfaces which cause the front end to wash out on me twice as I was entering tight on ramps. I kind of went for a ride for a few feet, but it came back nicely.

Today my Lizzie was having her period I think. She wasn't very enthusiastic about going to school (rutgers, FN' potholes suck a-holes). But two days ago, it was like.....damn Lizzie, chill baby, it's ok, they all suck and drive Buick's but it's cool.
The other day she was on point with the throttle, same gas tank. She's getting her oil changed tommorow, every 2500 miles.
My baby Angela just got her pad changed every 3500 miles... so she's running pretty clean for now But sometimes she just doesn't make her day its like she's on PMS i mean i stroke her in both ways Triptronic and in Auto.. but she isn't satisfied but overall she's been a naughty girl because she's messing with a big tube her new CAI i think she likes it because i thought VTEC means sh'es having a orgasim. I like my baby
Hmmm, for me, "Buffy" just needs a little quality gasoline and an oil change, and off she goes!

Mine was sensitive to the gas stations I used. If I put in gas that has that had a higher than normal water content it would noticably affect performance.
I knew right away within the first mile or so when I put in bad gas.
Other factors are weather, humidity and temperature. Cold weather makes for good power!
Then there is altitude, but thats not too much of a factor around Atlanta.
I would say the gas you put in is the biggest factor for you in Alabama. If you find a station where it tends to run good after fueling up, stick with it.
I also try to avoid gas pumps that have the same nozzle for all octane ratings!
That means when you pay for 93 you get at least 1/4 of a gallon of cheap gas sometimes, unless the last person used 93.
I have found that the Maxima is not nearly is finicky about gas, as long as you put in 93.
The SHO on the other hand is like the Prelude, which is probably due to being tuned for more h.p. than torque.
Buffy huh? I'm thinking about getting Lizzie her dil from AEM. But if I do that, I'm wondering, should I get her a new exhaust or just the muffler. Is that ghetto? I mean, she's not the Target shopper some of her parking space buddies are, she's a Bloomingdale's kinda girl. So I'm wondering if just the muffler would piss her off. Is it adequate? How about just getting her the tip? That would be really frontin' huh?
UUUHH...YEA im having one of those days today. I started her up this morning, and came to a stop sign....she died. Started it again....she died. Wouldn't start again. She's in the shop now, think its the igniter...any ideas?
well, as some of you may have read on other posts i started, "Nikki" has been having fits ever since i got her back from the dealership for an oil change/ 25,000 mile check up. after going on the freeway for a while, she acts all pissed and growls at 3,000 when she's not supposed to. i check the oil like a bazzillion times already and it's fine. i should take her in to find out what they f-ed up.
My sister and her husband named her Buffy one day...it stuck.

Ive noticed this too, Preludes sound and feel differently depending on the weather, very sensitive to temperature and humidity. It just seems more noticeable in Preludes than other cars, IMO. Shifting feel seems to vary as well, today I might be able to uptight and downshift smoother than anything you’ve even seen, tomorrow, its notchy. Ive also noticed that every time I get into the car, it can feel different. When I drive to work, I might have been perfectly comfortable. When I leave for lunch, I might feel like I’m not close enough to the wheel, and when I leave for the day, it might feel right again. The same applies if I haven’t driven the car in more than one day, its like I have to reacquaint myself with the car. Just shows you that the Prelude is a true driver’s car, you and the car must be in tune. If you don’t feel right, it doesn’t either, and vice versa.

they are called pornstars
As for me, my PRELUDE (notice i am not talking about it like it was my gf ) does run better at times then others, sometimes it's just more jerky.
