I went to honda for an oilchange (I know...wont do it again) and the tech came out...looked at me and said "I cant change your oil...your car is too low". I looked at him and started cracking up and had the fortune to tell him that it was stock height with stock rims...IE, no lower than when it left Honda! Talk about embarassed, he turned beet red. Also, my car scrapes if I dont take it at about 3-5 mph at most getting into my driveway...though my driveway looks like this /. Wheel Gap is a *****.
why wouldnt a dealership be able to change your oil if your prelude was lowered anyways???? The only reason i can see this being realistic is if it was slammed and i mean slammed and they could get the lift bars under the car...

Thats pretty funny......had the same thing said to me. When i went to swap out my rims for some new ones because they put the wrong offset on my car, and tires were getting hella worn. The guy came out to look at the problem and told me he couldn't warranty my tires because i had lowered my car........thats about the time i started laughing and told him it was stock. Needless to say i got new rims and tires.
If you want your car to look lowered, install an OEM body kit. This'll make it look lowered a lot, but it won't change to size of our giant wheel well area. Better get the factory body while they are still available but not in all colors. Check hparts.com for good price.
I put the body kit on my Nordic Mist 98 and everyone thinks its lowered! I want some 17's next also.

wheel gap is still there though...it's not really about the height of the car, more about the unsightly wheel gap...
what do you think? stock ride height, 17s, oem kit :
the prelude does have a fairly large wheel gap, like most front drivers. i personally think cars look really stupid with more wheel gap the *sides* of the wheel well than the top, which is what you get if you slam it.

the rim is a 17x7, tire is 215/40/17, which is the closest size to stock readily available for a 17" rim.

hey does anybody have any problems with your aftermarket rims sticking too far out of your wheel well??? i have Aleesio 17x7.5 with Yoko A520 215/40/17's and now if i go over a speed bump too fast or hit a bump while accelerating hard then my rear tires rub. it's horrible or anything it just happens every once in a while. i just didn't know if they were supposed to stick out like that.
I think it looks just fine w/out being lowered.
I have 17" with 215/40/zr17 Toyo Proxes on mine. Of course watch out for pot holes because those tires can't handle that shizzi

You should of seen my friend when he put on his 18" racing hearts on tires that weren't low pro.
With the added weight of a 15" sub and amp in the back and a stock suspension every time he went around a corner and the level of the car swayed it would rub. He was freaking out. I just sat and laughed!
