Do I sell or fix

98 Prelude, 159k miles. vtec automatic & sunrrof all stock. On a scale from 0 to 10, I would rate the Interior and exterior both at least an 8. Engine locked up, she ran it outta oil!! Trying to determine, should I sell it and move on or fix it and sell it or keep it. From what I can tell, the car is worth about $3500 fixed. Any ballpark idea what the car would be worth selling as-is. I know you can see it and I am not here to sell it, just trying to figure out a ballpark range value. Would it possibly worth $1500 as-is or is that way overboard?? Thanks all!!

is it possible that you could ask all of these stupid questions in one topic and not to make new all the time?

+1

It's impossible for anyone to tell you the true value of the car in that condition. Something you have to figure out yourself.

Me personally wouldn't pay 1500 for an auto prelude with a blown motor. I just bought one with a slipping transmission for $1000 and then before that, I bought one with a bad head gasket for only $750. It really depends on you to declare the value and what you're really sell it at.

Bought mine for less than $1000. Nice interior, running, drivable, etc.
Might be hard to sell an automatic with a replaced used motor quickly for much $$.
Depends on who is looking in your area.
I wouldn't buy a non-running lude for much more than $800-900 depending on the condition of the rest of the car... maybe less.
