I imagine your wear patterns would also depend on the stiffness of the tire sidewalls and the tread compound.
Previous to my Prelude, I had a '92 Accord EX Coupe and also an RX-7 Convertible (which I still have).
The Accord is lowered on Eibach Pros and stock shocks, whichI found it a bit bouncy, and the Dunlop D40M2 tires (very stiff sidewalls and soft tread) began to wear seriously on the inside edge within 10k miles, even after alignments. The much harder compound SP4000 (all-season Z-rated) tires did not show this pattern noticeably after 20k or so miles.
The RX-7 is lowered on Eibach Pros and Illuminas, and although it is not bouncy, this model was known for excessive rear camber, and it clearly shows inner-edge wear after 5k miles on Dunlop SP8000 tires. Even before lowering, the previous (lame) tires that were on it when I bought the car used wore down to the threads on the inside before the outside shoulders were anything close to worn out.
So it really depends on the application, I suppose. Street tires with reasonable wear ratings, combined with a small drop, might not cause too much of a problem, and there is some variance from car-to-car for sure. You should get the alignment done afterward, just to be sure, and take note of the readings you get back.
