Do the base 5g prelude already come with the front lip .....

Do the base 5g prelude already come with the front lip from the SH package? I am confused, just trying to figure out if I need to order the OEM side skirts and the rear lip or also the front lip. Anyone? Thanks!

So, the OEM kit consists of side skirts and rear lip only. It that correct?

No - the OEM kit has a front lip piece also.

See here:
http://www.handa-accessories.com/preext.html

"Front Under Spoiler" = front lip from OEM kit
"Side Under Spoilers" = side skirts
"Rear Under Spoilers" = rear lip

NONE of these are included on a stock SH or base Prelude.

Correct!! However, the bottom on the Front bumper is painted on both the base and SH but the sides and rear are only painted on the SH and not the base. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

The OEM lip kit is something you buy seperatly for your car...

The SH comes with painted side and rear skirts though

Exactamundo...the Base comes with small gray pieces on the sides and rear. On the SH, these are painted body color (and are smooth rather than textured, I believe).

silverlude2001, are you confused yet? If it is the OEM kit you want, you will need to order the front lip as well as the sides and rear.

Hmm ... yes now I am more confused .

he he ... so, let me put it this way, if I bought the side skirts and rear lip, would my car look like a SH from the factory (obviously w/o the spoiler)? Thanks ...

no, OEM looks different than the SH. think of the SH as a base model with painted side and rear, simple as that. if u want to make your base to look like SH, you can, check out the FAQ.

Okay, lets try to clear up the confusion for him. The SH and base preludes both come with a "side moulding". This "side moulding" is on the side and the back. On the SH, this "side moulding" is painted to the body color, and on the base the "side moulding" is a black plastic. The texture is also slightly different on the base and the SH. The OEM front lip, side skirts, and rear skirt are different and do not come with the car unless if you buy them. It can be bought from any honda accessory place and is listed as front under spoiler, side L&R under spoiler, and rear under spoiler. The OEM side and rear are larger than the SH painted "side mouldings". They are not the same thing. Hope this helps.

good explanation 99PearlLude, but you might want to add that the OEM kit's front lip, rear lip, and sideskirts are closer to the ground than stock is, so if you want an OEM lip and have an sh your front is going to be a lot lower than the sides and rear, so your lines won't match up. Basically when getting an OEM kit (or mixing kits) you want to get a front lip, side skirts and rear lip.
