yes.. my dealer quoted me 80. its probably cheaper to do it at the dealer.
however! its more fun doing it yourself. im doing mine today.
tappet adjuster/wrench (or honda tool or snap on tool): $50+
feeler gauges: $10
valve cover rubber gasket: $12
If anyone needs the tool, I happen to sell them. Email me at Mrpreludesh@aol.com All I need to know is if you have 10mm (usually Vtec) jam nuts or 12mm (non-vtec)

The tool that snap-on sells should have a number like YA8895 or YA8880, the company that makes them for Snap-On is called Schley Products out of California (aka SP Tools). I sell them there part number is SY88800 or SY 88950. If you have any other tool questions give me a call at Eppy's Mechanics Tool Club 800-441-6117 , ask for Keith
P.S. Does anyone have any stock rotors in good shape they might wanna sell for a 5th gen

tHERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TOOLS, SNAP-ON IS JUST A PRIVATE LABEL USER OF SCHLEY PRODUCTS. SCHLEY MAKES IT AND STAMPS SNAP-ON ON IT. Sorry about the caps but I'm not re-typing. The only benefit to buying the Snap-on vs the Schley is if it breaks you can give yours to a Snap-On or as i like to say Rip-off guy and he'll exchange it for you maybe. The Schley tools have to be sent back to Cali for exchange. Any questions on this tool or others just email me Mrpreludesh@aol.com

Sorry... I guess you didn't completely understand what I meant when I asked which you liked better...
I was referring to the Honda tool (the special service tool supplied to dealerships by Honda, and available as special order through the parts department), versus the SnapOn/Schley tool. There is a difference between these two tools.
well the honda place had to order a tappet locknut wrench for my car cuz there's "walked away" and i asked him if i could buy one and he told me snap-on makes theirs

you can also do the job with a 10mm deepwell socket from Sears for $3.95. Basically you have to grind or file 2 flats on the sides of the socket so that you can grip it with a wrench. Then the flat blade screwdriver goes through the middle to do the adjusting.
I have done it like this twice and it's not hard... the special tool prolly makes it a little easier. As with the $3.95 Sears method you really need a friend to lockdown the nut for you, when you are ready.
Remember guys.... you are also *supposed* to replace the valve cover gasket... when you do the adjust... this is like $12 from the dealer.
yeah me and a friend did it. i bought a $3 10mm wrench from napa. we bent it to a 90 degree angle with the help of the local fire hydrant. we almost over did it.. the wrench cracked but didnt break. heh.
The deep well socket is ok.... and the nice thing is the hole all the way through so that you can do your adjusting.... but if you can find the longest socket possible it will make it even easier !!!
