sweet....good idea to do it myself...I was just wondering if I needed like a $500 tool or something, but I guess not so it's all good. Will figure out how in a few k miles.
well i will havethe vavle adjustment tool. a wrench with a screw driver...special tooll. its build very slim so the screw driver can fin in the wrench since its a very narrow space
its easy, but took me awhile to do cuz i never did it b4...but once u get going, its easy...no need to waste money to get it adjusted

do you guys think I should do a full tune up on my car before I go to the dyno to tune my VAFC? I'm at 26k miles right now and the only maintenance I do on my car is engine oil. Would it make that much of a difference if I do a valve adjustment and spark plug change before the dyno?
id think it would be a good idea. i just got my car 2 months ago and now it has 38.5k miles on it. im gonna do as much of a tune up as i can: plugs/wires, distrib cap/rotor, valve adjustment, oil (engine and trans), fuel filter. i want to do it before the spring, when the track reopens.
ya, I just searched about spark plugs and found a bunch of posts. No need to replace my wires yet. I think I'm going to do the following sometime before I go dyno:
1. replace cap and rotor
2. spark plugs
3. tranny oil
4. valve adjustment
5. engine oil
just to make sure it's in tip top running condition before I go in. Sucks cause I wanna dyno soon, but I'm only at 26k miles. Maybe wait to 30k just cause doing all that stuff is a little early, mileage-wise.
Does anyone have a pic of a worn VS new cap and rotor? If I check this stuff out, I'm not sure what I'll be looking for.
so in a clearly stated post.....how much is a tapped lock nut wrench, feeler guage(s), gasket(s) (the valve cover and the spark plug or other gaskets thats in there, and anything else i will need....i paid 78 for mine to be done
