DIY: Cheap License Plate Relocating

I bought a type-s lip with a new bumper and was searching for ways to relocate my license. I ran into this write up on a mazda forum:

How-to: Mount front license plate onto lower grill without zip ties being seen

Cheap, easy, looks clean. Enjoy.

They make a license plate bracket for 5th gens. There's a tab with a hole in it within the bottom grill on our front bumper. Essentially the exact same thing - but stock with no zip ties

Nice find for those that have mesh grills below!

I don't know if it could be modified to fit the Prelude but this has got to be the coolest front plate mount ever NSX > EPP > ScienceofSpeed Stealth License Plate System. If I get hassled to much for no plate on my NSX, I may have to get it. The plate can disappear when you don't want it seen

I love my state as we don't have a front plate.

If you want the parts for how it's "supposed" to be mounted here you go.

Part Detail

You need 1 of #4.
1 of #32.
1 of #35.
2 of #41.
2 of #44.

The OEM set up don't come close to the lip.

I don't want to hijack this thread but here a couple of quick garage teasers. I will start an off-topic thread when I get some beauty pics taken. I've only had it for a few weeks now and I don't think I've stopped smiling yet It's a 2002 Spa Yellow NSX-T in phenomenal shape, bone stock and only 29K miles on her.
