Dimmed headlight

Hi everybody.
My passenger’s side headlight is dimmed. The driver’s side is OK. Common sense would tell you – replace the light bulb. Didn’t help… Replaced the light bulb + the little white socket that houses it. Still nothing. Tried the new light bulb on the driver side – worked great. It seems as if there is less juice coming into the pass side headlight. It was working just fine before, until about mid-winter. Does anyone have any suggestions before I make an always “enjoyable” trip to a Honda service just to hear that the car’s entire electrical system needs to be rewired? Any serious suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all in advance!

How are the plugs? There may be enough grime in the plug to cause a bad connection.

There’s a lot of sediment in the plugs. Do you think it could actually make that much of a difference?

Yeah, I do. Try cleaning the plugs and then re-greasing them w/ dielectric grease.

If that doesn't work, at least you aren't out much money. The idea, if you're not sure about a problem, is to start simple and work your way up.

Wouldn't a blown fuse stop the flow of electricity completely?

Sounds like a weak ground. Check the ground wire.

Not always. Depending on the circuit design, a blown fuse may create a sneak circuit which causes the electricity to go different/unintended directions.
