is there a major difference between skunk2 coilovers and ground control coilovers? besides ground control costing more. such as ride, bounciness, etc....
Quality I'd have to go with Ground Controls once again.
I think GC is probably one of the best (if not the best) set of coilovers (excluding true coilovers). They are pricey, but you get what you pay for right?
The Skunk2 coilovers are very nice. Mine aren't bouncy at all that I can tell. I have 'em paired with Koni Yellow struts... Maybe this is why my cars handling/ride quality is so much better than stock. I have driven in my friends 4th gen with GC/Tokicos combo and I honestly like my setup better. Although they are different cars the suspension characteristics is what I noticed the most. It probably is the struts, but the Skunk2's are not heaps of ****.
i got Skunk2 coil overs for $220
they WERE bouncy as heck... i couldn't drive... BUT here's the problem.. i dropped about 2.5" (stupid of me ) and i had stock shocks on. it was just HORRIBLE.. when i got KYB AGX's and installed it and adjusted the hights to 2", it seems to be soooooo much smooother~ but back seems little bumpy.. front is just PERFECT. it really depends on how much you drop. i need to adjust the backs.. and ALSO.. coil overs and shocks need time to get settled in.. so don't expect your ride to be smooth right away. my shocks are still dam new to be smoothed out.. coil-overs are~
i hope this helps...

i have the skunk2 coilovers w/tokico blues non-adjustable shocks.
the ride is a bit rough/stiff but for some reason, when i use the silencer for my tanabe racing medalion exhaust (probably the loudest exhaust on the market without the silencer) the ride suddenly turns into smooth caddy like ride. the car handles great tho! i should start using my silencer which i believe causes a lot of vibration thru out the entire car when not being used with the exhaust system. iono...

glad to see that your happy with them. They rode just a little too rough for my tastes. I'm much happier with my H&R sports.
what kinda spring rates are y'all running? Do you even get to choose? I'm not positive but when I called my local shop they said yeah that I can choose the spring rate. So what spring rate should I go for?
im running 475f 400r on my GC/koni setup it rides VERY stiff, but i love it
i think the main difference between the 2 bands, is the fact that GC uses Eibach springs and i have no clue what Skunk2 uses. And also the adjustable collar design. GC uses a single perch that has a allen screw that tightens the perch around the sleeve, while Skunk2 uses Dual locking perches. Both are proven to work, but IMO the GC is way easier to adjust
