is the dealership trying to screw me?

Hey,
My front suspension sounds aweful! It sounds almost as if it were and old mans shoulders and everytime I stop or start it sounds like the shoulders pop out of place. Honestly it sounds pretty serious. I'm not sure if its just the cold weather (last night was -30 C) or if its what they tell me it is, which is rocks in the brakes. Could this be a more serious problem that they just don't want to fix because it might be expensive?

fyi the car is a 2001 with 15000 km on it.

Thats just what they said... rocks in the brakes... but trust me, this does not sound like rocks in the brakes.

Our prelude does something similar to that, but only in the extreme heat 90+. It sound like the engine or something is moving when you start out in 1st. As for dealer being idiots, my clutch was making a horrible noise going into first, and the 1st time I took it to the dealer for this problem, they told me they changed the tranny fluid and it went away. I pull out of the parking lot of the dealer, and guess what, same noise. Now they decided it is the release bearing, which is more believable

as far as rocks in the brakes go they are idiots. if anything, you could have dirty or warped brake pads, calipers, or rotors. but from what you are explaining it doesnt sound like its comin from the brakes it could be your front struts. with help form a friend sit in your car and have your friend push down on the front of the car (with the hood open so as not to dent your hood ) and listen for that noise

I'm came from Calgary... got my lude from T&T. I found that they're more knowledgeable... or so it seems to me anyways.

But as far as that creaking sound or the "old-bed" clunking sound... I have that too. I'm going to bring my car in for service soon to get it checked out. Only happens in cold weather though. But I believe a lot of guys here did have similar problems. Some say it's linked to the recall for the ball joint from a while back... I think it was in 99 for 98 models. Some say the bushing needs oiling... I don't know... but hopefully the dealership here can fix it for me... plus, I want them to get rid of the creaking sound from my rear suspension too!

It was the most useless trip to the dealership ever...

I asked them to
A) fix the rattle in my sunroof

B) fix the sqeak in my steering wheel

C) find out what the hell was making that god awful noise

a) rattle is still there!!!!

b) sqeak is still there (needed to order a part)

c) noise is still there!!!

useless dealership... thank god I didn't pan out for the extended warrenty. Can't even get them to do the regular warrenty work.

Seems like a common problem for a lot of luders. Check out my reply on a past post about your problem.
