dealership.......

well, some of you may have read my thread.....last morning tried to drive the car and after pressing the clutch in it stayed down and refused to come up.....well we got it towed to weir canyon honda and they said the clutch fluid was out and then said they'd fix it and come pick it up tomorrow...

well tomrrow has come and upon going back......we found that they had lost our set of keys.......ok.........well good we're going to get a new set made for free and have our alarm replaced for free.......it's all good

so we get in the car.......put it in reverse......start going back......?????????? no we don't the clutch is stuck down.....

seems weir canyon somehow broke the reverse gear in their efforts to "add some clutch fluid".......i don't want to know what else has been stolen from the car...... if i lost my mike wazowski that rides in the back........or the teddy bear that sits in the cup holder........i will be pissed to hell and back.......

They "lost" your keys. I would be pretty suspicious of that. Do you have a lot of valuable mods on your car? Just watch out just in case. They can use those "lost" keys to take your car later on. Believe me my cousins integra got his car stolen by the same means, the workers there duplicated his keys and stole it later on.

YEAH BRO...in New York thats how shops steal your car. When you come in to do work on a car and leave your car there. They make copy of keys...find out where you live...since you put down your address, then a few days later goes by your car stolen and the alarm doesnt even go on. You know how many time shops installed turbos and then your ride get stolen. They closed down a few shope in NYC area where the shop would do work on an engine..like turbo... Nos and so on, then they steal your car and resell the parts or just put it on their cars or their friends. SO might wanna tell Honda to give you all 4 NEW LOCKS.

yea the people in the honda service department 9 outta 10 times are just pretty uneducated on repairing things , my girlfriend was havin engine trouble and took her car in cuz it was still under warranty and they simply just needed to replace the head gasket, 1 week after gettin the car back her engine blew.....hmm i wonder what happen lol but honda would not take responsability for it, but they did eventually after some fighting replace the engine, but it still never ran the same

so good luck to you man and remember u can never be to careful, so go head n replace all that **** , and no doubt at their expense or like ya said sue da fakers !

well here's an update for those who care.....

we called them on tuesday (last tuesday) and they said , great the tranny is covered under the warranty (even though it was our fault ...but they didnt really say that part)........and we're ordering the parts which should be here by thursday and the car should be done and ready by friday (today).......

well.......turns out.......they don't call us to update at all........nd so i gave them a call.......this is what i get......

turns out that they had to get a honda care representative to come down and take pictures of the car and check it........and then we have to wait until next tuesday so honda care can tell the dealership if its really covered and if they can commence work on the car.....

i called RON @ WEIR CANYON HONDA

he keeps giving me **** like.......the parts are here im ready to go im ready to go i can fix the car im ready to go the parts are ready to go im ready to go........just gotta get the all go from honda care...

then why the HELL DID YOU TELL ME THAT IT WAS COVERED AND YOU COULD FIX IT BY TODAY AND WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE TO CHECK THE WARRANTY WHEN ITS UR GOD DAMN FAULT

.......also one last point.......he emphasized the fact that i have an AEM CAI under the hood.....his exact words......... "the representative took pictures of the car and checked it, they also noticed the modifications under the hood but i don't nkow if that wilil make a difference.."

sorry to vent but i am too freakin pissed

boy you are one patient man, Is there no other dealers around your area that are actually good for their word. To hell with those people! Did you ever send your letter to Honda? What was the response you got from them?

They wouldn't give me a formal e-mail address which I could send the letter to......

i got a reply from "david@subaruwarranty" ........ it said "what is your complaint about, factory or extended warranty?"

i clicked reply and in the send to form area it had "david@subaruwarranty" and my hotmail carrier would not send it out because no email address end just with "xxx@xxx.NOTHING"

well.........i can't really take the car to any other dealership right now because it doesn't really drive.....nd besides, the damn hondacare ppl already got to it so whatever they plan on doing now its gonna be the same across the entire network of the honda dealerships so yeah

i really really hate dealers..........treat u nice and give u massive attention when ur buying the car......but once ur out of there they dont give a F*CK about you

I'm sorry to hear about what happened.. I can't beleive how they can treat their customers like crap. They should also be offering you a rental car for their mistakes.
There has to be someone that we can complain to about these issues.
I went to Scott Robinson Honda to have my civic painted once and they had the nerve to return the car to me with my front bumper cracked saying that it was cracked when I brought it in. All they had to do was paint the car not crack car.
Now I go to Honda World and they have such good service.
Norm Reeves Honda has good service but they always try to ripp customers off. I went there cause my seat wouldn't move back and they told me the spring was broken and I needed a new seat for $200. Went to another place and they oiled it(for free) and it was fine. See how some dealers really suck.

umm.. since when does increasing air-flow cause the shift-forks to bend? I think it's time to call your attorney bro.

Also a lil reminder for any of you who take your cars back to the dealer... empty out *ALL* valuable possessions and return your engine bay back to stock AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. They can get you for Sh*t like an oil cap. Yes they CAN be A-holes....

ok basically i called honda care again and it comes down to this

the servicing and everything is out of the hands of the dealership.....they have no part in this.....they only do the repairs but the actual warranty is in the hands of honda care

i called honda care and the guy said the problem is a result of ABUSE AND NOT MY PERFORMANCE MODIFICATIONS.....he told me to go read the contract where i would see that abuse is not covered.......although in the report filed which he read to me it said that the cause of the damage was the performance modifications (intake only) and that the shift forks were bent due to it (but thats only on paper!!!) and he said the real reason was because I ABUSE THE CAR and that the honda care extended warranty does not cover "...abuse or racing the car..." his exact words

what can i do!??!?!??!

Best thing to do before you call johnny C, write a professional letter to honda of USA explaining what happened and explain how much this situation is hurting their reputation as a sincere automotive manufacturer. Be sure to write a letter, not e mail them. And write to someone up top, like regional vice president/president, or even president of USA market . If that doesn't work, then call the lawyers. But be sure to be honest and professional in your writing. don't whine or demand. Just my input.

Totally agree with Screamer5300.

Talk to your local Consumer council and see if you get help from them too, cuz it sounds like your honda dealer f-up your car and filed it as user abuse...
but dont' get furious and be professional in your writing.

Good luck man.
