ive been reading up on the dc header on this forum, and i am wondering why it seems like almost everyone is running the ceramic one, rather than the aluminum...is there a reason?, i thought the aluminum was a better header than the ceramic, someone please help, i am looking to buy a header within a week or so, thanx in advance
EDIT:I MEANT TO SAY STAINLESS STEEL, NOT ALUMINUM..SORRY FOR THE MIX UP, OR CONFUSION...I WAS TIRED, AND HALF ASLEEP WHEN POSTING.....

hey I don't think the DC header is made of aluminum... infact i don't know any companies that make aluminum headers...
It's stainless steel, that's why it turns color.
The ceramic coating on the DC header helps diffuse heat better, just like how you put a ceramic bowl into a microwave and when you take it out, it's not that hot.
thats why AEM intakes have ceramic based coating on them as well.
I have the DC stainless....Man I tell you that thing gets HOT...But it turned a cool GOLD color! Yeahaw! 24k headers !!!! ahahahaha
It makes a difference you can FEEL from midrange on up! The best header you can buy on the market...MHO, dont get Neuspeed headers....Tests show the stock header flows better.

DC = #1!!!!
and ur already knocking Mugen, Maxim Works, and SMS
and there are no aluminum headers, An aluminum header would crack so fast

Most people have the CC for 4 reasons:
1) cheaper
2) doesn't change color (the SS looks good when u put it on the car but not that great 10 mins. later)
3) if u get the SS the flanges can rust
4) better gains for CC since it doesn't get as hot
I have never heard anyone say that DC or a DC product was crap.
It's not that the header gives you 2-3 ponies, it's the mixture of the three, I/H/E that gives you the power upgrade. I have a DC header on order, and can't wait till I get it on my car....
i just threw nuespeed on my car, and it runs great, flows hella better than the stock, it was the last thing i did, and damn.. it was ike the missing link or somethign.. i puit those ona nd wham.. can't really go wrong with any header, other than airmass or something, Pace setter, heheh ceramic is definately ythe way to go, no rust, looks good all the time, and the same performance

You have these tests? Because the Neuspeed header is about 99% identical to the DC.
