DC Header

How much hp gain is possible with the ceramic or stainless DC header for a 5th gen prelude....

No flames, just answers. I've heard too many rumors that the 99 and up preludes have headers as good as DC's headers already, true???

Yeah, 2-3hp on a stock car... Your gonna see more than that if you already have an AEM and a good cat-back exhaust, which most people already have before they look at buying a header...

They turn brownish yellow... kinda. If you touch them, they turn rainbowlike... purplish cause of the oils in your hands. My friend's civic has mugen headers, and being a idiot, he touched the headers to try to wipe off the brown and well.... now there rainbowish

In a way, it doesn't match the rest of the header.

Header will also save you weight. Less weight makes you faster. By itself it isn't important, but if you're putting the fatass lude on a diet, every few lbs helps.

I kinda like the yellow-golden glow the headers get. Beats the rusted stock ones. Heh. Not sure how the DC hold up against the Mugen though..

King motorsports makes the modification for you (the downpipe needs to be lengthened, IIRC).

Here's what happens when you never polish it (9months) or clean your engine. BTW I tried to be very careful not to get oils on it before it cured, but I couldn't clean it good wnough after the install. Also I painted the non-stainless parts with high temp paint.

if whoever put it one for you is careless and forgets to wipe it clean before firing up the car, this is what you get in about a year:

I just put on my dc cc header and with what I have, no exhaust, I could tell the difference on the buttometer. Its worth it.
