I wanted to lower my car and i was wondering what the difference is between cutting my stock springs and getting lowering springs...I wanted to lower it, but not so much that i can't go over speed bumps or up driveways...any suggestions?

The difference is that you will have different spring rates. Cutting springs is so horribly bad. My friend did that to his eclipse, and although it gives the look of lowering, when you drive, it will not feel good at all. Bounces so much every time you go over a bump. You will be able to feel your car hop on the road. Honestly, if you want to lower, go buy some springs.

ya you can get neuspeed sports springs for less than $200 and some shops in orlando offer it for $225 installed. If you cut your OEM springs youll never know how much your car will be lowered untill you set it down. You can also get a cheap coil over for like anywhere from $150-$350 and you can choose your ride height, But to get the best ride and looks handleing youll need to go with something like i did the tein HAs, there on sale on www.modacar.com

I think everyone who has em will agree, H&R sports (also reasonably priced at around $150). The drop is clean at only 1.6 (correct me if i'm wrong). I fly over bumps, none of that bouncy crap. Driveways and speed bumps aren't a problem if you know how to angle up steep driveways.
please don't cut your springs, bad idea, you probably going to mess up cutting them to have an equal drop on all 4 springs. Plus it's going to ride like crap.

get something like GC adjustable and konis yellow but for the amount of money you paid for em
might as well you go for tein ha's
It appears that most people think GC coils with koni yellows are a good combination....I think that I might just do that then....what's better than this other than tein ha's?
