Car was in good shape. Was told $9k was lowest they would let it go for. It has not had the t-belt service, and I told them that was a major issue in the price. I said no way I could give them $9k, I think I may offer $7k, which is the edmunds TMV for the car in clean condition.

Seats were OEM, but black leather with white honda emblems in the upper middle center of seat. It looked factory - didn't take a pic.

Overall it needs some TLC; the headlights were completely cloudy, it has some minor chips on the lip kit and a few on the body. Only mods were exhaust, cold air intake, lip kit and upper grill and fog light housings painted pearl white.

Those are aftermarket leather seat covers that you can buy on eBay. Even for an 01 $9k is too much, $8k would be the absolute ceiling.

The back seats were matching leather too. If they were seat covers they were very nice, and looked like OEM leather seats.

I agree that $9k is too much, especially because I'm going to have to pay about $900 for the t-belt service this year.

Offering $7k

The t-belt service shouldn't be more than $700 at the dealership.

That is wrong. Only the 01's had the child hook for the teather for a childs seat.

Also only the 01's had a hook for the drivers side floor mat, you forgot to mention. That was also a difference.

To the OP, NO prelude (U.S. model anyways) came with factory installed leather seats. They were sent out from the dealer to shiops and they were done there. Honda may have provided the covers to put on but none came from the factory with leather.

I do know Candian one's did though and they had heat for the seats as well. So unless they are heated with the switch located on the door panel in front of the pocket, it did's come with leather from Canada either

SoCalPrelude.com MODS only inforce rules on some and not on all. Kyle is a joke.

BTW, Eric Schultz in CA is a known scammer. He did it to me, he can do it to you. Just a heads up. Know as "backinblue92" here on PO.com

I know that it wasn't an option, and this was a US car, not Canadian. The person insists that either Honda did it, or the dealer had it done prior to the original owner driving it off the lot. They are 2nd owner, and car was purchased from the dealership who sold the car to the original owner.

I'll be surprised if they except my offer, but I think it's fair.

What is in bold is what had happened.
