Why don't you just put it where the dimmer switch is? That's where I put mines
Plus my dimmer switch is still hooked up...I just placed it inside the cruise/fog/sun roof assembly. So if I ever have to dim my interior lights and what not (which is never), I can just pop it out and do whatever.
I double-sided-sticky-taped my cruise control button under the dash. I can still reach it easily while driving even though I can't see why I'd ever fiddle with it.
I put mine in place of the dimmer dial. how many times do you really dim the dash lights anyway. Orange lights are so much easier on the eyes than the green or blue of other cars.
also, it is not good to have your cruise control on all the time, that's why there is a switch. If you have it on all the time then the vacuum is always on. If you have the vacuum on all the time then it can go bad and when you need it to work it won't.

Ask yourself this. Do you use your cruise control? I dont think I ever used the cruise control on my Prelude, in fact, I took the underhood components of it off my car. (The small amount of extra room is nice.) I never used it on my Cougar, and I probably used it a total of three times in my Cavalier.
Id like to get some JDM fogs once I finish the rest of my car, and I plan on taking out the cruise button (and the rest of the electronics for it) and putting the button for the fogs there.

Well conversely do you ever use your dimmer switch? I've yet to meet a person who uses it "regularly" lol

I use mine all the time. I play with it for about 10 minutes every time I get into my car. Then I drive off.
Seriously, I didnt used it until I put my white guages in, I adjusted the light so the guages look black, but the orange part still glows bright. Then it just sits there. I think the only people who would use it is someone else driving your car.
