Crower screwed me up...

Called crower last friday to order my stuffs (cams, valves, springs and retainers). The guy said everything was in stock, so I placed an order. And I did this with 2 days express mail. So I was supposed to get it monday. I still don't have it, so I called today, and they said everything is out of stock.

So, I need to find new stuffs. What do you guys recommand? skunk2 cams with ferra valve trains?

ok, after arguing for 15min or so, I'll have my camshafts, springs, and retainers by tomorrow. I had to order my valves through ferra. Very nice guy. I never met any sales guy that was this nice. Wish everyone was that pleasent to talk to.

By the way, he recommands crower cams over any other cams cause the building process is better with crower. He says most of the company uses chilling process to build their cams. And while doing the so called chilling process, it creates crack in somewhere within the cam. So, it will eventually break in time.

So, I guess I, and some of PO.com members, made right choice on their cam purchase.

I hope I get some decent gains out of it.....

Yeah, I think Crower has the longest and best reputation of the companies that make cams for our cars. Sucks that they have poor customer service though. Mind if I ask how much you paid for the cams?

To answer all of the question....

I bought mines directly from crower. If you have time, shop around. Nopi has best price for retainers and springs. You can shop around and get better price from other places. Unless you buy it from crower directly, it's unlikely that any shops will have cams in stock....but don't quote me on this... as i said before I was in hurry.

Here is what I got and I paid full prices on everything. Prices are listed on crower webpage, I'll just put it here too.

-Crower stage two cam (w/ stock idle lob)
Part number: 63422A - $680.26
-Springs
Part number: 68184 (Dual spring) - $298.67
-Retainers
Part number: 87091 (ti-retainers) - $161.22

-Valves from Ferra (888-733-2505) talk to Zeke
Part number: ????? - $326.80

Total: $1466.95

Along with this, I'm not sure if you guys read my previous posts, but I also purchased type-s pistons w/ stock rings.
-Type-S pistons $290.00
-Stock rings $140.00

Total: $1896.95
Total with labor: $1896.95 + $800 (labor) = 2696.95 + $75 for all the express shipping.

Grand Total = $2771.95

As I have said before, you can most likely find better price if you shop around more with some patience. I was in hurry, so I bought it if it as in stock.

I have to spend $2771.95 just because freaking NOS broke my valve... a valve, not valves.... should have just bought JRSC..... but oh well...

Nozzle was set at 50 shots, but nitrous was leaking at first solinoid, so I wasn't even shooting full 50 shot.

Broken valve is not due to the NOS, I think it was due to high milege on my car.
