I'm sorry but the new Si is butt ugly. I would but a SE-R spec v over a new Si.

the new SI is cool, but dont' care for that bulldozer lever lookin shifter. i woud not though, trade in my lude for a civicSI. might consider trading in my 2000HB for it though...but probably not.

the new si's are pooh. I would never own one.

the 99-00's are kinda cool. But they look like every other civic.

I had the choice of buying a civic si or a lude. I chose the lude. Not many of them around, and they are classy. Not some economy car turned "sports car" with an engine, and some sway bars.

I personally do not like the exterior at all. If you are looking at the Si maybe you should look at the SVT Focus. I have seen a few on the road and they look pretty pimp. I have no idea how they ride or how great the engine is, but looks are killer for a 3-door hatch.

With a ton of cars coming out this year and early next year I would wait and see what the market has to offer.

The new Civic Si is a good value, but for Chrissakes it's pretty damned ugly. Maybe the shape will grow on me - who knows. That God-awful gold color they are showing in promo ads doesn't help much either. Has anyone seen recent issues of Max Power (UK) or Car magazine? They get the new Civic Type-R in the UK. Different body kit, a spoiler thingy in the back, and 197 bhp. The one they showed in those magazines was pretty cool I guess(probably 'cause it was black and not poop gold) plus the wheels look better than those nasty chrome ones on our Si. I just don't know what was wrong with making the Si a coupe like the 2000 model. I don't like the fact that this new one has no definition from A-pillar to hood. It looks "minivan-esque" to me. I understand the whole revival with the "hot-hatch" in the US. They are big in the UK, but they have a lot of manufacturers and models to choose from over there - the best we get is an SVT Focus with 170-something bhp. They (Ford UK) offer a Focus RS with 200 bhp. North America never gets the cool stuff !!!!!!!
